Review summary

First time trying Royal. Loved the ship and all the activities. Shows and entertainment is better on Royal than Carnival. Food and beds are better on Carnival, in my opinion. Will cruise Royal again!

The dining room food was ok but the buffet food was pretty good.

Loved the ships activities and the staff in those areas were great! Props to the 2 guys at Flowrider!

Gene in the dining room was our favorite server yet!

Layout was kind of choppy but the ship was very clean and well maintained.

Bed was way too hard and bathroom and closet space seemed smaller than Carnival interior cabins.

Meet the Cruise Director Cory! He is great and makes the cruise a thousand time better!

I agree that the food is better on Carnival. You can't beat the cakes at the Carnival Lido buffet during lunch. I noticed that Royal is trying cakes now at the Windjammer buffet during lunch, but they are awful! Can't complain about the beds on either cruise line. I always sleep like a baby on a cruise.
