Review summary

Not our favorite cruise, we are 67 years old and prefer a more elegant relaxing ship. Very crowded! Great food in the specialty restaurants and great drink package and some good entertainment saved it for us. Also we had bad weather.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A long line but moved fairly quickly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Specialty restaurants were outstanding. Buffet was just ok. VERY crowded there!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots of activities for younger people

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Funny comedians, in the air was awesome, also ice skating show.

Children's Programs

Had no kids with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly and always ready to help

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship is getting ready for dry dock and it needs it pretty badly. Worn carpets, scuffs everywhere, beds hard as a rock, wasn’t crazy about the layout either as only two banks of elevators and no outside dining.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Large balcony and spacious room. Clean. Bed was hard as a rock but they will bring a foam pad if you ask.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

3 out of 5

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

2 out of 5
Port was constructed by cruise line so you don’t see the “real” Mexico. Took a cab to our excursion only to find out it was cancelled due to windy choppy sea.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Port is great if you want to get drunk at a wild party or buy jewelry but there again it’s a brand new area so you have to go somewhere else for local flavor.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Loved the self assist
