Review summary

This was my first time that I went on Royal Caribbean and parts of the cruise were disappointing. The ship and staff were off the charts amazing and would do anything for us. They all really seemed happy to be there. Not having a Pizza place and Hamburgers place on the pool deck was disappointing. They did put out sandwiches and a dessert out daily but we didn’t even know they were there at first. If you were hungry you had to go down to the Promenade to get Pizza or go to the Windjammer and bring something back. We all felt like there were more restaurants and activities that were pay options than free options. I don’t really care for the corporate model the RCL is using. It’s sad because the ship is great and has all these little looks and crannies to hang out in and Amazing Crew that go out of their way to do it right. I thank them all for making my cruise a great Family Reunion to remember.

Embarkation

It was quick and very organized. Even though there were lines, they kept moving.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The Main dining room food was pretty good however the Windjammer was okay.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We used the outdoor running track to take a walk every morning. Enjoyed the adult pool area everyday.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows were great!! Really enjoyed the Uptown Show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was amazing and we really felt like we were part of the family.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The design was great except for trying to get to certain areas. Once we figured it out all was good. The ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was the first time for me without a Balcony and on a lower deck. I really enjoyed being closer to the water and got to enjoy the sea a bit closer. The cabin was a good size and the way it is laid out makes it look bigger when you have two twin beds in there.

Ship tip

Make sure to use the roomfinder maps. They are very accurate.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas Did not visit port

This was where we embarked the ship and we drove there on day of departure.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Even though it was raining and we did not go to Playa Mia we had fun in the port area.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
We went to Stingray City and snorkel and had a blast.

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
We did not do an excursion but went to the Port shops. Decided to go outside the port area and were hounded by the locals. I understand this poet is up and coming but it still needs some work.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We zipped right through and had no problems.

The windjammer buffet is on the pool deck, how much more convenient food do you need?

Great review and never dawned on me about pool area not having any food areas, so I can understand you disappointment in that.
