First time on RCL and Liberty of the Seas. Had a great time and would recommend to everyone. Purchase the KEY! We will travel on RCL again. We are spoiled for balcony rooms now that we have been in them a couple times.

Purchased the "KEY" program and boarded the ship with the first group!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in Chops specialty dining was excellent. The Windjammer buffet was great with a wide selection and great tasting food. The main dining room food quality was less than I expected from what I had heard about RCL. This was my first time on a RCL ship and I had heard the food was exceptional, however I think the food on Holland America is better in the main dining room.
Sorrento's Pizza
5 out of 5
Best pizza I have had on a cruise ship! Hot and always ready.
Olive or Twist

Great bar at the top of the ship. Wish we had found this sooner in the week, we would have hung out here more often!
Café Promenade

Excellent specialty coffees. Had the deluxe drink package and drank lots of coffee!
Windjammer Marketplace

You won't go hungry here. So many choices for everyone. Food tasted great, it was clean and the staff was very attentive. No outside seating however, but there are plenty of tables along the windows.
Chop's Grille

Had a welcome aboard lunch here with the KEY program. Excellent filet and service.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
so many things to do, especially for active folks. I did try the Flowrider and had a blast! everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The ice show and main stage Up In The Air show were second to none! The comedians were very funny. However, the Saturdaynight Fever show in the main showroom left a lot to be desired. Some of the performers were not that good and the sound quality was poor. I have seen better shows on Holland and Carnival, which was surprising because I had heard that the entertainers were much better on RCL than the others. Maybe they just had a bad night.
Promenade
5 out of 5
What a fun place to gather and walk through or just stop and people watch. Everything you need is found on the Promenade. Great way to get from one end of the ship to the other, unless there is an activity going on, then it's jammed with people.
Children's Programs
no children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Would have given this five stars except for the Main Dining staff. Every other crew member I encountered gave excellent service. They were friendly, helpful and quick to serve. However, the wait staff on our table seemed to not care. They let dirty plates and empty glasses stack up on our table before removing them and we had to ask several times for items before they were brought to our table. Very unusual. I've never had this poor of wait staff service on any other cruise. Others in our group at other tables did not experience this problem, so maybe we just got a poor waiter or maybe he was on his last week and over it already. When I mentioned it to the assistant waiter, he tried to do better, but it just wasn't up to cruise ship standards in my opinion.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Loved the design and layout of the ship. The central Promenade was fantastic and overall the ship was clean and well maintained. But you could see that the ship was getting worn and in need of a refurbishment.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The room was larger than I expected and it was great having a balcony! The balcony railing needed to be refinished, the varnish was peeling off, but this was not a problem overall. The bathroom and shower were large enough for us. The king bed was firm but very comfortable. The room was very quiet, we never heard anyone around us or in the passageway. Plenty of closet space and drawers. The room steward was great and always attentive to our needs and kept the room made up and clean.
Ship tip
Purchase the "KEY" program. The perks are fantastic!
Typical port with stores at the dock and vendors trying to get you to buy their excursion or use their taxi, etc. First time in this port. Very poor country, but the people were friendly and we had fun on our excursion to see and hold a sloth and monkeys and iguanas. Bad roads and the van was is poor shape.
Again, first time here. Very poor country. Had the feeling that it was not that safe in Belize City, with police checkpoints everywhere. Had an excursion to Mayan ruins which was great, but a very long 2 hour ride each way, however the roads were good and the van was newer. The guide was very knowledgeable and made the ride less boring.
Second time to this port. Last time was 20 years ago, boy what a change! Very modern and up to date. Three ships in port at the same time, yet did not feel crowded. Had excursion to a resort for salsa making lessons and salsa dancing, with open bar and buffet lunch, plus use of pool and beach. Best shore day of the trip. We would return to Cozumel anytime either by ship or for a weeks vacation.
With the "KEY" program we had a leisurely breakfast and then we were escorted by a staff member to the front of the line and lead to where our luggage was. No waiting like everyone else. Once we got our luggage, we then had to wait about 20 minutes to get through immigration, then off to get our car and back to pick up our luggage and the rest of our party.
