Review summary

I would recommend this cruise and may do it again now that I know what I'm doing as far as the ports and Royal Caribbean go. This was our first RC cruise and although I found some things quite different it was really good.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation went well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room was good as well as the buffet. Sorrentos pizza was great. Didn't see the need to spend extra on the specialty restaurants.

Sorrento's Pizza

5 out of 5

Awesome pizza! I ate here at least 3 times on my cruise.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Hot tub was good and that's about the extent of my adventures.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I wasn't wowed by the entertainment and was disappointed that on the first and last nights there was only 1 show which we had to miss due to dining times. I also didn't care for the random show times.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Clive, our waiter in the mdr was so friendly and efficient and Annie, our housekeeper did an outstanding job.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This was the smallest cabin I've ever been in on my 6 cruises, however, it sufficed. It had way less drawers and cabinet space than most, likely because of the window which overlooked the promenade. I wouldn't book this cabin again unless it was a really great deal. It was also noisy when there were disco parties, etc. in the promenade.

Ship tip

If booking an interior with promenade view, expect a smaller room and some noise in the evenings.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

3 out of 5
We didn't really spend time here.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Although we only walked around town and shopped, we liked this port.

George Town, Grand Cayman

3 out of 5
This port was ok but the tendering process was tedious and long. We thought the tender tickets were odd too. Next time would do an excursion.

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
Wish we had done a tour as we weren't encouraged to leave the port area. Same kinds of shops as everywhere else.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Best disembarkation yet. We were off of the ship by 8:30 am. We were close to the front of the line so that helps.
