Review summary

Fantastic experience! Our first full cruise! I took a FAM-TOUR of the Allure Of The Seas a few years ago our of Fort Lauderdale. We will DEFINITELY be back and will take Royal Caribbean! VERY IMPRESSIVE overall! 5 PLUS STARS!!

Embarkation

A little hectic at the Galveston pier. A little "cattle ship" like.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Fantastic food...Amazing service....FIRST CLASS all the way!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
So many things to do and see. I was amazed at the Cruise Director and his ability to be in three places at one time (it seemed)

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The "Saturday Night Fever" show was Broadway level! Comedians were very good! Piano entertainment in the Schooner bar was a little light.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was SO friendly and helpful! I don't know what they feed these folks...but I want some! :-)

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was PERFECT! We loved the view and the cabin attendant was magical ninja! Always there for anything you need...but never in the way!

Ship tip

Work in the "tinder" experience in Cayman. Slow and painful. A little more direction on the final exit strategy would help too. We were exactly where we were told to be at exactly the time...and no one was there to point us down the correct hall.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Cozumel, Mexico

It rained..but we had fun anyway!

George Town, Grand Cayman

Getting off and back on the ship was a pain in the butt! Long lines and poor directions from the crew.

Falmouth, Jamaica

The "Doctor's Cave" tour (we paid for thru Royal Caribbean) was disappointing when we stopped for an HOUR at a cheesy little strip center with ONE gift shop. Most likely someone's brother owned the gift show. There was nothing there that you could not buy at the MULTITUDE of gifts shops back at the port. An HOUR of beach time wasted! VERY BAD!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We were exactly where we were told to be at exactly the time (8:00AM) and there was no crew there to direct us down the correct hall. It was confusing...but we figured it out.
