Can't say the carnival drinks are any cheaper. Got charged $8.02 for a 12 oz Miller lite yesterday. Started buying the buckets as they end up being $6.61 each for a beer.

Nobody is forcing you to buy drinks or pay for more food (especially when there is plenty available that is already included). You won't experience any different on any other cruise line...
