Review summary

Booked our cruise 6 months in advance and reserved a dinner table for my entire family of 6, but when we boarded the ship, they had every 2 people at 3 different tables. I am platinum and have never had an issue, but this was the first time I did not book directly with Royal Caribbean. Not sure where the disconnect was.

We always book our cruises with our wonderful travel agent. If we are going with other relatives she always gets us at the same table. And when we board we do go right to the dining room to see if we like where the table is.

Thought you could link dinner reservations through the cruise planner on line. Just need the booking numbers then check off names

In case it wasn’t clear, the reason to speak to the Maitre’D is that he/she can change your group’s seating arrangements and even walk you to the table to see if you like the location.

How exactly did you reserve a table for 6? Do you mean that you merely linked cruise bookings before you sailed and assumed that would guarantee a table for 6? Next time, as soon as you board the ship, ask to speak with the MDR Maitre’D and confirm your dinner seating arrangements. The other option would be to switch to Anytime Dining and then you all go in as a group and request to sit together.
