Review summary

Overall a great trip for our entire group. This was a special cruise for us in that it turned out to be a Proposal Cruise for our daughter. Her fiance planned a special proposal on the 4th deck at sunset with a photographer ready to capture the moment. All went of well without a hitch. The pics were perfect, but overall an expensive luxury. Our two families had a nice meal afterwards at Chops to complete a special evening. We had alot of fun trying out the Flowrider at the back of the ship. You must try it. Kids really enjoyed it along with the sport courts. Pools, of course, were crowded with people saving chairs. We liked all our meals at the buffet and the main dining room. We often tried a couple of entrees during our meals. Servers were very attentive and personal. We used the "My time" dining but changed our time several nights due to show planning and activities and there was no problem getting in when we wanted to. We especially enjoyed the ice, comedy and acrobatic shows. They were all great! However, we had to rate the overall amount and variety of entertainment offerings lower than other cruises we have taken in the past such as the Norwegian cruise we took last year. Seems to be room for improvement there. Our balcony rooms worked out great. We had 3 adjoining balconies which was a real treat. We were the last 3 balconies on the port side at the forward part of the ship. We saw dolphins, flying fish and huge grouping of squid one day. We especially enjoyed looking up and watching the captain on port days as he oversaw port operations. Nice to hear a southern voice from our captain for a change :-). Thanks to Royal Caribbean for a wonderful and memorable trip!!

Ship tip

Definitely do the self disembarkment if you can. The other members of our group sent their bags ahead and waiting until their number was called... they were 2.5 hrs behind us.

We booked our own excursion with Little French Key. 3 of us took the scuba option and it worked out great. We met the rest of our group of 5 members around noon and spent a few more hours on the island with them. It was beautiful!! Highly recommend it.

Wasn't a lot to do here outside of the water park. We took advantage of the down time and hired a local photographer to take some pics at the beach. She did a great job! Chris Williams Photography.

Great 2 tank dive by RCI. Was worried about "cattle boat" comments by some reviews but Sand Dollar Sports did a great job! Jorge was a wonderful dive master. There were 8 in our boat. Drift dive, currents were strong but if you stay behind the dive master and watch him he will spot things for you to look at.
