Review summary

I was cruising with a group of 15, several who have been on many cruises before. One is Diamond status, so we were able to board very early. That was nice. I will definitely be cruising again. I wish Royal Caribbean had a better way to communicate onboard without purchasing internet. It is hard to keep in touch when you have such a large group. Overall, my first cruise was a wonderful experience.

I wish there were a few more things for "kids" that are older. My son is 16 and my nephew turned 18 two weeks after our cruise. They were not really interested in the typical teen things. But they did have a lot of fun anyway!

My room steward, Anthony was so friendly and always on top of anything I needed. Our waiters, Menino and Made were the BEST! We had a large group (15) at two tables. We never sat in the same place, yet they always knew what each of us wanted. Menino was very accommodating and always was happy to bring anything we asked for. Many of our party ordered two appetizers, entrees, and desserts every night. He often brought something one of us didn't order just because he thought we would like it. I cannot say enough kind things about them both!

We booked a beach horseback riding excursion through Royal Caribbean. We were not told that closed toe shoes were mandatory so we had to rent those there. Also, the helmets were not sanitized between riders. Ick!

Beautiful city. We did a tour of the city on a bus. It was very interesting to learn the history and a lot about the people and culture. They certainly rely on tourism for their economy.

Not my favorite place. Very busy, lots of ships in port at the same time. We went to Nachi Cocoum, it was beautiful.

We are going with a party of 11 in December and we all got the drink package with voom. I’ll update on how this works for us.

Liberty does not work with the app. It's only for the newer, big ships.

Get magnetic white boards to put on cabin doors and upstate throughout the day about where your going and whet your doing If you update each time you come and leave the room it really helps

I'm not 100% sure, because I haven't used it myself, but supposedly, by installing Royal Caribbean app you can communicate via cell without using any fuss.

That’s cool they let you board with your diamond member. We had a party of 15 two years ago and they wouldn’t let the rest of them board a my husband and I who are diamond.
