Review summary
Our family of four (including 2 teens 15 & 17) took this cruise out of Galveston. We could not say enough good things about it. There's something for everyone onboard. The shows were very entertaining, and the aerialists were superb. The ice show was colorful and fun to watch. My younger teen son hooked up with the teen club and we almost had to beg him to spend dinner with us. He loved the activities and new friends. Our older son liked going to the main entertainment and trivia game nights. The entertainment was always family and kid friendly before 10 pm. The food was very, very good in both the Windjammer Buffet and My time Dining restaurant. If you didn't like a dish in the sit down restaurant, they would immediately get you something else. All the staff always wore smiles and quick to please and serve you. Rooms (balcony and interior) were clean and enjoyable. Annoyances, including before sailing, was RC always trying to upsell you on their drink or food or Internet packages. Even on the ship upon entering the windjammer there would be staff from other onboard pay restaurants that were trying to get you to make a reservation with them. It was equal to pesty beach vendors. However, when I mentioned this to my cabin steward, he passed it on to Guest Relations and I got a call right away. They wanted to make sure I knew that they were listening. Maybe it was my imagination, but those on board restaurant vendors seemed to be less noticeable and quiet after that. Our whole family felt spoiled by the trip, and are missing being on board again our first week back. It was top notch and really enjoyed by all of us!Embarkation

If you drink a lot of water, bring a 24 pack on board marked with your cabin number. Also, a Yeti or Rtic is very useful to keep your drinks cold on board or at the beach!
