Review summary

Very nice, relaxing and enjoyable. Wish there had been a place with popcorn. We also would have liked to have had the opportunity to attend a Christian worship service(s) during the week. We really enjoyed the Captain's Corner Saturday morning.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
All went well with our embarkation - smooth sailing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate all our meals, except one, at the buffet. The food was delicious and a wide variety offered each day. The one meal we ate in a specialty restaurant was at Sabor. We signed up for a Guacamole class and Tequila tasting. These two items were interesting and informative. The meal we then enjoyed was excellent!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool and sunning beside the pool and watched Jumanji poolside. We choose to also enjoy many activities offered during the day and at night.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the band, The Long Run and attended both shows presented. Unfortunately, we did not get to attend their Friday late night show. We also greatly enjoyed El Grecko, he was so entertaining! We saw the Ice Skating Show and it was good but there were a couple of places on the ice the skaters seemed to have trouble with. They did a good show. We also watched the aerialist and were amazed at their talent. The Newlywed Game was rather fun also.

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We never encountered a rude or crude staff member. Our room steward, Anthony Bailey, was friendly and kept our room is excellent shape. We greatly appreciated him! There was a young man by the name of Nick that we enjoyed a karaoke and also a few other events we attended. He was sensitive to helping when needed and just made it a fun time.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All good. Many restrooms available which was great when out and about doing activities on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was all we needed as we did not spend a lot of time there. Bed was quite comfy as were the pillows. Our needs were supplied.

Ship tip

For those of us who are retired, be aware there may be quite a few children, of all ages, on board. We did not expect this since we were cruising in April and did not know the ship had numerous children's activities which drew families to sail this ship.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas Did not visit port

We live in Texas and have been to Galveston. When we are cruising, we do not explore the city as we are anxious to get on the ship.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
On this trip, we just shopped and did not plan an excursion as we visited Roatan four years ago and did a couple of excursions then.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Again, no excursion planned but we did shop. Nice area with many shops to go in to.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We had an excursion in Cozumel and enjoyed this. Thought we had booked through the ship but it was through United instead. After our excursion, we did more shopping and there were certainly many choices in shops.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Great! We were in the first group, 8:00 - 8:20 and all went quite smoothly. We were off the ship and in our truck heading home in an hour.
