It was my 2nd Royal Caribbean cruise and my bf's first. We both really enjoyed the Liberty of the Seas and we'd do the same ship easily in the future, but perhaps get a nicer room. My bf and I are in a long distance relationship. This 7 night cruise was a great vacation for the both of us to get away from our daily lives and issues and have a time away that was just for us. And being long distance we don't get to go on actual dates very often. So in the trip itself, we were able to do several "date" things that ultimately brought us together even more.
Embarkation

Embarkation was pretty smooth and organized. Though there were lines, they were always moving. The staff was pretty friendly as well.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

The Windjammer and main dining room food was always tasty. Just don't forget what Deck 5 has to offer for snacks and late night. However, if you are a tea drinker, you might want to bring your own box/bag of Twinnings because the "London Breakfast Tea" is bitter.
Chop's Grille

Had my birthday night dinner here and it was delicious. Appetizers: the Cesear salad was a huge wedge salad, the shrimp cocktail was so much better than the main dining room's version.

Entertainment

In the Air (cirque show) and the ice skating show were my favorites. I also really enjoyed watching the Love and Marriage show and Saturday Night Fever. The Eagles cover band was not as interesting, but it's just not my thing; apparently a lot of people liked them because they had an encore.
Children's Programs
Didn't bring kids, but when I have them I would love to come back to the Liberty of the Seas to make use of their splash area and daycare centers.
Service and Staff

One night the main dining room waiter was not as attentive, we didn't even get offered bread and my ice cream came to the table already melted. We put in a comment card and we immediately got a phone call from the head waiter and a tray with chocolate covered strawberries and a note saying they're sorry.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was on the 10th floor, easy to get up to the pool deck, gym, and the windjammer, which were only a floor above. You can faintly hear the music and noise from the main pool areas.
Ship tip
Try to see the ice show before the last showing, you'll want to see it again. The green water slide is the best water slide. The library has a few good gems in it, like a series by an author named Tiffany Green.
Did the Mayan Ruins Tour and Beach Combo and it was great. Our tour guides Danny and Oscar were the best. Danny seemed so knowledgeable and interactive during the tour and he knew how to gauge the audience's interests. The beach was great too, we had an hour and a half to wade in the water, eat some fish tacos, and lay out in the sun. And then we still had a little time to browse the souvenir shops at port.
The Land and Sea tour was kind of vague in it's description. It included submarine, bus tour, turtle farm, a gift shop, and Hell (that's a literal place). We only were told how long we'd be at each tour stop once we got there and it was either 45 minutes or 10 minutes. There was no stop for food, we had to make due with the cafe snacks at the turtle farm.
Didn't do an excursion, but the port was nice. The shop workers are willing to make deals with you, if you're nice, they'll knock down the price. The spice restaurant was on island time in terms of getting your food to you, but the food turned out to be delicious. And it's like night and day on the outside of the port gates, proceed with caution.
I didn't want to leave, but I had a 4 hour drive ahead of me and a bf to get to the airport that evening. So glad we had an earlier disembarkation group. We were out to our car in no more than 20 minutes after exiting the ship.
One of the best reviews I have ever read. It is very informative and adds the personal and emotional piece. I loved this ship. Whether you both go on this or another ship in the future, I hope that you can swing a balcony, it only enhances the overall experience. Thanks again.
