Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Drinks were amazing with great flavors in the daily drink specials. Food in main dining room was excellent. Windjammer was good for breakfast.

Onboard Activities

Adult pool is nice but needs to be bigger as the same group of people seemed to congregate in the seated portion daily under the bridge. We had issue with waiters coming to pool side to serve drinks. One would bring the drinks and another would refuse to get his shoes wet which I would think is part of the job when serving near the pool. One day the pool area manager actually showed up and had to yell at one of the wait staff to take drink orders.

Saturday night fever was excellent. The ice show was very good with beautiful costumes. Country band was lacking quality and not the greatest singer in the Star Lounge.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We had excellent service in all but one area. The Star Lounge had one bartender who was only able to do one person/drink at a time. There was one male cocktail server who walked around the lounge with a tray but never taking orders. He finally came to our table and my friend stated that because he never showed up we had already sent someone to the bar for our drinks. His response was a lackluster "oh" and he walked away. The ship is definitely in need of cocktail lounge staff and extra bartenders in this particular venue. It is a shame because there were quite a lot of fun events in this area but many left due to poor drink service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is beautiful, clean, and exceptionally maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

We loved our cabin and our cabin steward. Room was clean and the ocean view balcony was great to sit and enjoy fresh air when needed.

Ship tip

We had a great time on the ship. The only negative we encountered was the serving situation in the Star Lounge.

We did the modified dune buggy and beach tour. Lots of fun and great tour guides. Unfortunately due to rough seas we did not get to enjoy snorkeling on the beach.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Do not take the 7 mile Beach Break excursion which offers a free Rum Punch with beach chair and umbrella. This was horrible. The bus picked us up and took us to the beach where we were led to an extremely narrow and tiny area with old caution tape where there were broken down beach chairs with old dirty umbrellas. The chairs are literally less than 1/2 inch apart and were completely full. There were not enough chairs, and you had to crawl over people to even get to a spot to see if it was available. The beach itself is narrow but the water was beautiful. Next time I would definitely just grab a taxi and ask them to take us to the best public beach. More time in the beautiful water for a lower price and no hassle.

We climbed Dunn River Falls which was beautiful. Great tour guide and the falls guides were awesome. The only downside were the vendors outside the falls were very aggressive. The tour guide advised everyone on the tour to just ignore them and walk by as she felt they were dishonest and pushy.

Quick and easy get off from the ship.
