Review summary

Best family vacation ever! Liberty is beautiful and so were the Ports!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We stayed by Busch International Airport and caught an Uber the day of boarding for $150 for 5 people. The ride took about 1hr 15mins. Once at the port it is Very cramped but the RCI boarding process took 20mins from beginning to onboard. We arrived at the port around 11am

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
No specialty dining this trip. We had the windjammer for breakfast and main dining room all but one night. Food was good. Our 3 ten year olds found items on the kids menu and main menu they all liked which is a challenge.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We tried the water slides, flow rider, main pools and hot tubs, miniature golf and the rock wall. All were great, especially the Tidal Wave slide. One main pool was heated which was nice.

Casino Royale

1 out of 5

Looked like a lot of games and slots but the smoking was out of control. It was horrible to just walk through. Amazing how folks just sit and chain smoke in there while playing or not.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage shows we made it to were great. The ice show, In the Air show, and Mosaic music group were the best. The comedians and juggler were entertaining as well.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My kids went a couple times and were not into it so I cannot knock it. The staff seemed ok though.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had two rooms down the hall from each other and Eon was our steward. He was great. Kids really loved that he knew their names and said hello to them. Always had the towel animals every night. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Our dining staff was wonderful! Flora and Ajesh. Our kids were legitimately sad we were leaving them. Great service every night and they truly cared.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship looked beautiful. As a former Sailor I know how much effort it takes to keep an ocean going ship looking like that!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had two cabins, 8535 and 8524. One balcony and one inside, port side all the way forward. Both rooms were clean as fully functional. It was nice to have the larger balcony to hold all five of us at times.

Ship tip

Line up early to get a seat for the ice show. They have it 4 times on the 7 night sailings. Only 300 seats I think in there.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

3 out of 5
It was just ok in terms of ease to get to and how congested the terminal area is. Prefersailing put of Florida ports.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

4 out of 5
Beautiful. We just got off and walked around doing local shopping.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Did the Mayan ruin waterpark excursion and it was AMAZING!! Pools, lazy river, water slides, zip lining where you end in a pool!! Great choice!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We had a fog delay so we missed our flight and did not leave the ship until 4pm. RCI staff was wonderful and that is the chance you take in Galveston. Some of the passengers were horrible both getting off and trying to get on.
