Review summary

Overall I enjoyed the cruise. The food was really good especially when we dined in the extra charge restaurants. These restaurants were quieter, and the waiting staff were excellent.

I found the ship very busy on the days at sea, the pools were crowded and they were just not big enough for the number of passengers. I understand that there are many activities such as slides and Flow-rider etc but I just wanted to swim as it was very hot.

Our balcony cabin was very comfortable and we escaped the hustle of the busy ship to relax in our cabin. Our cabin steward was always available and very helpful.

The negative things I found were that for the first 2 days we were asked constantly if we wanted a drinks package and to upgrade to the nice restaurants. We had done this online before boarding so found it off putting to be asked all the time.

Another negative was the that certain rules were not enforced by the staff such as  "No glass ware around the pool" but the bar served drinks in glass and people had them in the adult pool. Also on the formal night people were not dressed in formal attire but were still let into the dining room.

I did enjoy the cruise but I don't think I will cruise again on a ship with so many passengers.

I felt the cabin was quite spacious the the balcony was a really good size. the bathroom was compact but worked well. The wardrobe was a good size and had plenty of coat hangers. Its just a shame that you aren't allowed an iron as it costs a lot to get things pressed. It cost $18USD to get 2 shirts and a suit pressed.

Ship tip

Pack enough clothes so you don't need to get get washing done on board as its pricey!

Booked a trip with RC and it was had leisure time and we had 2 hours in Montego Bay. It was too long unless you go to the beach club and pay another $6 each and go swimming. We didn't and it was a very nice place to just hang around, the only place to go was Margaritaville.

Where do we make reservations for meals and entertainment

Formal is only a recommendation on Royal Caribbean. Also pretty sure the drink glasses we received from the pool area bars were plastic. I don't know about the main pool area, but they definitely don't enforce the no drinks in the pool policy in the Solarium. Hell there's even a bar with seats in the pool where there are always people sitting and drinking. Never saw any spilled on the pool while we were there, but I'm sure it happens.
