Review summary

It was my first cruise & I was some what impressed with the dining. However, where cruising was difficult for me was as follows:  As a 69 year old women, on her first cruise, I was not aware of how reading your papers, left in the rooms, was so important.I saved for a long time, for the cruise, and was disappointed on the cost of photos. It was brought to my attention, by customer service, that if i had read the papers I would have known that I could have saved $100 by buying the package on the first 2 or 3 days of the cruise. How sad. I wanted my photos and the cost was over $300.00 when, if told would have been slightly over $200. The stateroom attendant was sufficient in what he does & it almost became annoying on his attention to us.In the afternoons, after returning from the excursions or pool, he would knock on the door to see if he could re-do the room.  It was not brought to our attention the constant use of the do not disturb sign. Although I did enjoy my first cruise, I was disappointed in the cost of on board items. Your website states no water, drinks or alcohol can be brought on board.  However, after arriving at the pier we found this to be untrue.  We then became aware that we could have brought wine, cokes and water.  The information on the website cost us and additional $70 plus dollars for cokes for my roommate while I had to drink water from the tap,  Your cruise cost enough for both of us to travel and the added $170 plus dollars did create and unpleasant taste.

Buy the cheapest drink package. They have a cafe that so free drinks and food, well not free per say, but included in your package. I can't remember the name of the cafe but it's on the reading material.

that's unfortunate that your first cruise turned out so rough...don't let that put you off on cruising...now you know which tips the advantage more in your direction...when we cruise we pick out two pictures we like and buy them

I'm going with my twins that are 10 yrs old do you advise me to bring water/cokes on board? would that be hard for getting on board? I'm unclear of what you actually can have without buying the package for drinks. thanks for your help

I'm sorry you paid extra. I feel you should have done a little research before you left your house. You would have found all this information before leaving. Sorry again.
