Review summary

This was my first cruise ever. I have to say that we planned this trip a year in advance for my mother, aunt, sister and I. I would have to say that for my first cruise experience I was very by the ship and her crew. I was not impressed by the excursions that they offered. We decided to attend excursions on the first two ports that we stopped in (Roaton Hondurs and Costa Maya). Both of these excursions were supposed to be a tour of the island with a beach break. The tours took us to all of the poorest parts of the island (places where one did not even feel comfortable pulling out money to even purchase anything) then on to the beach break where you only had about 30 mins before it was time to get back onto the bus and head back to the ship. I now know that I would have been better off just exploring on my on and maybe I would have been able to get more beach time. I really feel that the people of RC should go on these excursion so that the can better inform their patrons of what to expect. Outside of the excursion fiasco our cruise was one to be remembered. I can not wait to plan my next cruise and hopefully can sail on one of the bigger vessels that RC has to offer.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Our wait staff Neptali and Ying definatly made our dinning experience phenomenal. I felt like the rich and famous as they catered to us and pampered us like not other. By our 2nd night in the dinning room they had figured out what we would like. We were all on a Salmon kick and once they realized that every evening that we went to dinner it was already on the table waiting for us.

Service and Staff

The staff at the pool Nepal and Ismale really know how to make their guests feel special. I never had to look for them when it came time to get a drink refill. Our Cabin steward Inyoman was equally amazing in his service. I am married and extremely spoiled when it comes to my husband doing thing ti do not like nor want to do. Inyoman was like a stealthy ninja mind reader. He kept our room clean and tidy. He was like the next best thing to having my OCD Husband on the trip with me. The next cruise that I go on I hope to have him and his wonderful service and positive attitude with me again. If you ever cruise with Inyoman be prepared for top flight service.

If you are going with a group it is a good idea to bring a magnetic dry erase board to let everyone know where you are at and what you are doing so that you can be easily found. If you are just going alone magnets are good to help you find your room on those nights you may have spent a little too much time at the bar.

If you don't want to pay for an excursion you can just walk around the shopping center. In that area alone is so much to do and see without having to pay for a tour. Now if your zip lining or swimming with the dolphins its better to pay for the excursion on the ship.
