Review summary

This was my 3rd cruise and I hadn't been on a cruise for several years so I had really high expectations that cruising would be better than ever! I was sorely disappointed! The level of service was not nearly what it used to be. You would find the occasional staff bartender or waiter that was interested in making you happy but a lot of the staff were rushed and overworked and didn't seem to have time to pay attention to you unless you were a platinum or gold card carrier. Part of the problem was we chose "my time " dining. Wow! Couldn't believe how often we were ignored or given rushed impersonal service. Also our shore excursions were awful experiences. Wish I would have used  Viator rather than RC excursions. Also, you are constantly bugged about buying dining packages at the specialty restaurants. We probably didn't get our money's worth out of the drink packages. Wish I would have known that about midway through the cruise you can buy a drink ticket for $75 for 10 drinks (usually priced around $10-12/drink). The card is shareable. I will say our stateroom was comfortable with good housekeeping and the shows and entertainment were decent. The food was good and plentiful. Room service is not free unless you order the continental breakfast, expect to pay an additional $7.50 delivery fee if you order something else.Maybe I am just not cut out for cruises. Much prefer all inclusive resorts for the money!

Good central location, quiet with little movement noticed. Comfortable with plenty of storage.

Ship tip

Be aware that shore excursions may not be what you signed up for. Windy weather (or as we suspected, too few people signed up), will cause a change in the itinerary and it may not take you where you wanted to go. Also check reviews and pictures of "beaches ". Parrot Tree was a lagoon not a beach!

We did my time dining and never had to wait for a table, had the same waiters with great service. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience

My time dining is no where near as good as scheduled. There is no accountability since you never see the same person twice. Cruising is what you make of it, choose to have fun and you will

I've never heard of the drink ticket. Did they announce this offer?

sorry to hear! this sounds very out of the norm. We sailed this ship and another in the past with only great things to say. Sorry again!

I didn't know about the drink cards. We have cruised with RC 4 times and I have never heard of it.
