Review summary

Liberty of the Seas is a great ship! The available activities on board are plentiful and highly entertaining. The staff is eager to assist and always cheerful. The cleanliness and condition of the ship is excellent. The food is good but the specialty restaurants are amazingly delicious. Our ship stopped in Roatan, Honduras and Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico. Roatan and Belize City are mostly just the port with shopping. I would suggest that you book excursions for these cities. Cozumel is one of my favorite places. It is close to town and there are many things to do there. We did not bring children, but it looked like there were lots for the kids/teens to do onboard.

The food in the buffet and main dining room are good and have a large selection to choose from. We really enjoyed the specialty restaurants though. They are well worth the extra charge.

Everyone we encountered was friendly and cheerful. We especially enjoyed talking to our room attendant Denry and our Sabor waiter Coco.

Great use of space. The room felt large and worked well for the 2 of us. We loved having the balcony!

Ship tip

Advance planning for excursions is recommended. The best activities get booked up fast. I also recommend the deluxe drink package if you plan to have at least 4-5 drinks per day. This drink package includes specialty coffees on the Promenade as well!

There is not much to do except shop if you don't book an excursion. Most excursions are a quick ride from the port and offers a wide variety of activities to do.

There is not much to do except shop if you don't book an excursion. Most include a bus ride that may be up to an hour, but it is worth it to do something fun. We had a very entertaining and educational bus ride to the Jaguar Paw Zipline and Crystal Cave Tubing.

Cozumel, Mexico

We love Cozumel. We have actually spent 10 days there before. There are many activities to do on the island and the downtown area is close to the port. Feel free to explore on your own or book any of the fun excursions on this island. We have pretty much down them all and loved them all.
