Review summary

There were too many people on this cruise. We were consistently herded like cattle especially when getting on the ship and getting off in Galveston. The process for initial boarding was lengthy and depersonalized. We had to wait a long time for the elevators and eating at the Windjammer was chaotic-people going in all directions; we sometimes had difficulty finding a table. However, the dining room staff were very friendly and helpful, especially for the evening meal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Windjammer was crowded and frenetic at times; dinner in the Botticelli dining room was very nice-staff friendly and accommodating.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Top notch professional and very talented entertainers. The game shows were a scream that we enjoyed very much.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Although I did not experience any of the children's programs, my family did and from what I heard they were very satisfied.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I never encountered anyone being rude or unfriendly. Our waiters were wonderful-Bernardo and Vivek remembered our names and were especially personable, remembering our special likes.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Nice to have a balcony-bathroom shower very small. Our steward seemed overwhelmed, but we have no complaints. He tried to accommodate all of our requests in a timely manner.

Ship tip

Do some research on ports-of-call prior to trip so it will be easier to choose an excursion that may be more interesting. Be prepared for a lot of people and being herded like cattle.

I was on the ship last year out of Ft. Lauderdale... I didn't think it felt crowded. Of course we also cruised the allure too...

You might want to try a smaller ship next time. Seems the 3000+ is so many for you.
