Liberty of the Seas May 2016

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Oceanview

This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise. It was great for the price and convenience of the port being driving distance for us. We have only been on Disney Cruise Line before and definitely tried to go into it with an open mind knowing it would be different. After trying RCL I would sail with them again but my family even a 16year old boy said he would prefer Disney.

Cabin / Stateroom
Cabin was great. Stateroom host Roosevelt Joseph was wonderful!
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Embarkation seemed chaotic at the port we arrived about 10:30 am and there was a lot of passengers disembarking at the same time. The holding area where they stage you to board is not very nice with port-o-potty type restrooms. We also could not hear when they were calling boarding numbers it was just a person yelling the number not very loudly either.

Food and Dining

Try the Windjammer for dinner if you don't want to spend 2 hours for dinner in the MDR you can get the same food and more selections. The best ice tea is in the coffee shop. There is an ice machine and tea and water dispenser in the back ( tea in the dining rooms is very dark. )
