Review summary

Overall, our trip went well. The servers at our table in the Michelangelo dinning room gave us outstanding service - Ronaldo and Levin.  Other staff members throughout the ship were very supportive as well.  However, tremendous improvements are needed at the customer service desk on the 5th deck.  There were never enough staff members at the desk to support the needs of the guests so you must wait in long lines for assistance. If you tried calling them from your stateroom, very rarely would someone answer. My toilet flooded the bathroom, maintenance cleaned it up after two phone calls to them.  Upon arrival in Galveston, the exit process was extremely poor. We were in line for over 1 hour before we could retrieve our luggage, then another 30-45 minutes to clear customs. Please consider my feedback. Thanks

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Windjammer was the best, but the quality and choices for the evening dinner needs improvement. The specialty restaurants was great. Michaelangelo food was not that good. When i started cruising with RCCL almost 30 years, the food was outstanding and the best cruise line when compared to other cruises. I now see the quality, taste have deteriorated.

My toilet was not working before i left for breakfast and it was not fixed when i returned around 1pm. I tried flushing it, then it floaded the bathroom. AFter 2 calls to maintenance, they finally came to correct the problem.

Ship tip

Plan your shore excursions ahead of time. Plan to wait in long lines during disembarcation so schedule you flights and airport transfers accordingly.

very nice city, but plan on spending money for overnight stay and very costly transfers to and from Houston to board the ship in Galveston.

The delay in retrieving your luggage and clearing customers is not the fault of RCCL, but that of the longshore men and ICE.

RCCL won't see any comments on here...you need to call them and express what you wrote to them!! :)
