Review summary
Love a cruise!! Over the years since the very large ships have entered the arena, it seems that the quality of the food and services in the dining areas has greatly diminished. Many meals taste and look like they are pre-fabbed, ready to just microwave or warm to be served. I had a completely cold meal delivered one evening. After two attempts to get it right, finally got to eat....alone. as everyone else was already finished. And had a middle eastern waiter who kept bringing a different meal than was ordered because it contained pork. I kid you not!! What is happening in the dining room service? Just not the usual respectful and service orientated gentlemen & ladies as previous years have produced. So what is with all the powdered ingredients to make potatoes and other parts of our dinners? Vegas were only thing that felt authentic, fresh food. Also noticed the really great deserts are no longer even served as before on other cruises. So the food was very disappointing in the luncheon and dinners, sit down restaurants. We thought the buffet was many times a greater choice than the sit down dinners.

The lines are out to give you less for your money, that's for sure, at least the mainstream ones. Legendary corner-cutting in the F & B Department. Intrusive nickel-and-dime-ing throughout. Liberty of the Seas used the worst-quality chocolate in the smallest quantities imaginable in their desserts. Carnival's as guilty as all of them even though they did raise their quality from the miserable school-cafeteria style they served in the 80s and 90s. One thing: if you're willing to pay, you can get a good meal made with fine, fresh ingredients served beautifully at Chef's Table.
