It was disappointing to be honest. We had a problem first few days on board trying to fix dining times. We had booked anytime dining but they had us booked at 8pm dining. Could not get anyone to fix it we were sent from pillar to post. It got exhausting and we all got a bit annoyed to say the least. We had one encounter with a staff member which was unpleasant she actually put her hand up in my face and loudly said CLOSED. So rude!!!
The staff on the tenders didn't seem to know what they were doing it was a nightmare tendering from and to Kona. It actually got dangerous. I definitely do not recommend anybody with mobility issues boarding the tenders. We saw quite a few calamities.
No staff to help people down the steps of the tender that was left to other passengers to do which is just not acceptable.
Weather was disappointing but of course that's not the cruise lines fault, but there are many days at sea with nothing to do so be prepared.
We probably won't cruise Holland America again this is the 6th and last time. Not a great experience for us.

Dining room food was very good definitely 4 star.
Buffet was good but not well laid out. I've had better buffets on other ships.
We were told that they still had problems with food supplies there were certain products they could not get. I'm not surprised with that as food is in short supply everywhere.

There was some good entertainment in the world stage but no stage shows as such.

I liked the ship layout but didn't like the atrium it was to enclosed everything felt dark.
Didn't see staff clean anything!!! Tables etc always sticky. I took lysol wipes with me so I cleaned everything myself. Usually on ships I see staff cleaning hand rails tables elevators windows etc.Considering we have all just been through 3 years of covid they really need to keep the ship clean. I think there was a lack of staff to be honest.
Cabin / Stateroom

Small room but comfortable. Well laid out with plenty of cupboard space. Loved the bathroom it had a good size shower everything very modern.
We did the trolley bus. We did not book it on the ship. It was fun for a few hours there are choices of routes you can take. We took the senic route up to Diamond Head it was great.
We also went to Pearl Harbour,definitely worth a visit.
Did not like Hilo. Wet windy overcast and rundown. Did not like the town mucky and nothing there. We ended up at this port for 2 days because we did not get to go to Maui. due to bad weather.
Not a lot in Kona. Just one main street to walk down.Overpriced tourist shops.
Did not do an excursion because none were available. We tried booking excursions online 2 months prior to boarding everything was sold out. We were told more would be available on the ship but that was not the case.
