All in all, a great cruise with all things considered with all the Covid mandates.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It went so easy- even having to be tested at the terminal. The whole process didn't take more than 30 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room food was good as well as the Pinnacle Grill. I was a little disappointed in the Pinnacle Grill. The steak was good, but the sides were disappointing. We went to Rudy's and the Tamarind and the food was fabulous!!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the music trivia as well as the regular trivia. Also, liked the informative talks on the whales and wildlife.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The male piano player was great as well as the band at the Rolling Stone. The BB King Band was good. The first comedian was very good as well.
Service and Staff

THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS WONDERFUL!!!
Ship Quality

Everything was constantly being cleaned and the design layout is very functional.
We did a whale tour and it totally out did the Kona tour. It was incredible!!! Only drawback was had to wait a long time on the bus for other excursions.
We visited the volcano which was very interesting, but not enough time. Only 40 minutes at the volcano, then 15 minutes at another site (steam vents). We were supposed to go to an orchid garden and it was closed and went to a zoo instead. The zoo was actually pretty nice, but were only given 20 minutes to visit. Also, took forever to get on the bus. Not very well planned and not worth the money. It would have been better to rent a driver for about 4 hours. ONLY REAL DISAPPOINTMENT ON THE WHOLE TRIP.
on the 25 day now. food is very lacking. was better on carnival a couple months back. 3 days in they ran out of truli drinks. woke not happy. service from excellent to soso in mdr. i have a feeling HAL is not going to be seeing us again. i don’t knock carnival and think those who do are generally ignorant to what they signed of for. that being said carnival was never HAL. now HAL is no carnival. heard others talking disappointed as well
