Review summary

Enjoyed being able to text fellow passengers without having to buy an internet package. Found the ship easy to maneuver. Loved the salt water pool in the solarium. Casino was very smokey and unfortunately the slot machines we liked were in the smoking side (not that the non-smoking side was that much better.) Wish the Casino had more traditional slots and less video type slots. There was one bank of slots that was almost impossible to use because they were so close together (back to back). Would have liked to have found a bar with a singer/entertainer to listen to to close the evening each night but never really found that. The one bar that could have been that (Schooners), the piano singer never really sang complete songs, almost like he didn't know them. We weren't into the Halloween decorating and costumes and we're glad when that night was over!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and service were great

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the solarium pool. We weren't really into all the daily themes.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The dancing crew were very good, comedian was ok, we never found a bar to go sit in that had easy music.

Children's Programs

Not traveling with kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Hurane, Fortunate, Pritam and Juliani in the main dining room were fantastic and our room steward, Javier (deck 8) was very attentive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very easy to navigate. The ship shaped map in front of the elevators was very useful and the interactive navigation screen on each floor that gave all kinds of info is such a great idea.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Wish the bathroom was a little bigger. Surprisingly there was lots of storage in the cabin!

Ship tip

Get to know the ship early in your trip and make a dining reservation after the first day (even using my time dining) made for a nice connection with our wait staff.

Took an excursion that toured the island by coach bus. Learned about how steal company and coal mining success and failure affected the town. Enjoyed the craft market at the Port terminal.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Took an excursion on a double decker coach bus to Peggy's Cove. Knowledgeable guide and beautiful drive out and back. Wish we had more time at Peggy's Cove and also back at the terminal for craft market in the terminal.

Disembarkation
