Transatlantic cruises provide great value. These cruises are great if you enjoy onboard activities.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Fastest, smoothest embarkation ever
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was good. Nothing outstanding but as expected.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
While we are not big activity people, the activities provided appeared to be well-liked by the passengers. This is a smaller "classic" ship so there are less bells and whistles. That said, I was impressed by the pickleboard courts, rock climbing walls, movies, and other activities.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The entertainment was good. Some performers were excellent, others fairly typical cruise fare.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
This is where the Jewel of the Seas shined! I've not been on a ship with a happier crew that provided better service.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We enjoy the smaller size of the Jewel of the Seas class ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin 7004 is fantastic. As a "family cabin", it is available to any size party approximately 2-3 months prior to sailing. Located all the way forward, it is near the theater and far from dining. The cabin is far more spacious than normal cabins below the suite level.
