Review summary

I was expected a better experience with Princess than I experienced on other cruise lines and based on my past Princess cruise. This was not anything outstanding.

Embarkation

Princess does a good job with embarkation....very efficient and no lines. But...lots and lots of walking in between various steps of checking in and security checks. That in itself was exhausting. It was my conclusion that by spreading everything out they avoid people standing in lines for very long which I supposed reduces customer frustration but all the walking in circles was equally frustrating.

Food and Dining

Food was not anything special. Burgers are good and hidden away in a small space above the buffet at Horizon Court. Buffet was repetitive. I expect that for breakfast but saw the same dishes several times at lunch and dinner. Did not find the food in the dining room to be enough better to compensate for the amount of time it takes to be served.

Repetitive offerings. Mostly some kind of meats and lots of starch. Very little cooked vegetables. Desserts were mostly not worth the calories. Wait staff generally did a great job trying to meet requests and most were friendly.

Shows in Princess Theater were better than expected. On most cruises I leave during the show because they are so bad...this one I didn’t

My cabin steward was not the greatest but other staff were consistent with other cruises I have been on

Ship was clean and well maintained. Nothing is ever perfect. This was better than other ships I have been on. Moving about the ship was easy. Most decks ran completely through from one one end of the ship to another without interruption. Easy to find bars and restaurants. Easy to avoid the smoky casino...did not have to walk through on that floor.
