Review summary

We have now taken several cruises, and go just to relax, not sightsee. The worst part was the cigarette smoke where it was drifting to places it shouldn’t be. The rest was enjoyable. I don’t know if being short staffed is a company decision or a result of not enough applicants….but it’s sad to see it. The staff we encountered were very sweet, but you can tell they’re feeling the stress too.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
MDR is always good, and our service was primo. We had the Fish n Ships one day for lunch…meh. Too greasy. Windjammer was good enough.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Solarium pool is where it’s at if you don’t have kids…so glad to have that option!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were really good, excellent vocals and dance choreography.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was excellent. The staff on the whole seems tired—overworked and understaffed. I have a feeling every line is facing this, but it’s hard to see.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The air handling in the casino did not work well, and we caught whiffs of cigarette smoke in other areas…and couldn’t stand to be in the schooner bar. The ship needs a style update.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
With the bed made into a king size, you couldn’t really walk around it, it’s too close to the sofa and vanity. Like, maybe 3-4” of space between them. Otherwise, good enough.
