Review summary

Except for food quality and taste and being a little short-staffed……it’s the same Royal and I will remain loyal.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation is always great at Port Canaveral. They know what they are doing. We were onboard within 12 minutes after parking with a drink in hand!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food quality was very poor. Not what we have come to expect as Diamond members with RCCL. Hoping it’s only this ship, which we have not been on before this. After three inedible meals in the MDR we tried Giovanni’s….. still poor quality and poor service Going on Harmony next month and hoping it’s not like this past cruise on Independence

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There’s always something to do when you cruise with Royal. Trivia, karaoke, great shows and fun contests. Dancing, great music and cold drinks!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Grease show was excellent! Some very talented young people!!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
They are definitely short-staffed and it shows. Although our room attendant was great and kept our room clean, the hallways were filled with used plates and glasses and the service in the MDR and Giovanni’s was not very good

Again…..Port Canaveral knows how to do it. Don’t even have to show your passport, facial recognition in action! We like to walk off after getting a coffee and just take our luggage with us. Very quick and easy
