Review summary

Food was a concern, first cruise where I think I lost weight ?,We went to 2 upgrade restaurants, only to find some foods were an additional upgrade, so you have to pay for the upgrade, then pay again. This is not right. Food at the dining facilities had ridiculously small portions. Your drinks were extremely pricey. If I cruise again with Royal Caribbean I will go alcohol free, way too expensive. Two bottles of Evian water in mini bar, should be complimentary, not $6.00 a bottle ( again it's water ). On the positive side, service was good, the boat was clean, our room was clean, staff friendly. I would think twice before booking Royal Caribbean again.

Also as far as the water goes, Brita makes a sports bottle with a filter that works VERY well! I drank ship water the entire cruise with no weird taste issues. Saved a bundle of money and the hassle of lugging a case of water along!

If you find that you are undecided between 2 or 3 appetizers or entr©es, why choose, get them all! The smaller portions are great so that you can try more dishes or get seconds of one you like. As for the water, you can always bring your own, if you don't mind lugging around while boarding. Happy cruising!

I like the smaller portions so I can get two different choices and try more foods. If you don't like it don't eat it.

You can ask for more at dinner. You can get as much as you want. No cruise line offers free bottled water, not even ones in the mini bar. Except perhaps a luxury cruise line. I hope you try again, but research more. And have a wonderful time.

If you do book Royal try one of the smaller ships. Voyageur class is nice and you aren't nickel and dimed to death. Adventure of the Seas is the best in that class.
