Review summary
The Independence of the Seas was very impressive. I have been on 4 cruises so far with different companies and like most cruises the food, entertainment, and overall experience is the very similar. This trip impressed me because the boat had some amenities other previous boats did not have. The 5th floor promenade is full of shops, coffee, and pizza which was fun to walk through once the sun went down. The boat also had a rock climbing wall, surf simulator, ice skating, gym, and running track. If you check the daily planner there are always activities, live music, shows, entertainment of some sort to check out. I would cruise on the independence again next year.

Ship tip
Go to breakfast at least 20-30 minutes before they close. The workers stop putting out new dishes and start worrying about opening up lunch. Don't get me wrong, there were still many options to choose from and the omelet station was still open. Tons more options than just ordering room service
