Highly recommend Icon for a family vacation. Everyone will have a great time with so many activities to choose from. Ship is beautiful and the service was exceptional.

We had the best main dining room experience that we have had in a long time. Irwan and Jack were fantastic. A lot of guest were pleasantly surprised that the buffet served lobster, shrimp and steak EVERY night! This was by far the fanciest, most lavish all you can eat buffet ever seen on a cruise ship. They even had lobster on the lunch buffet.
Onboard Activities

I was traveling with young children and we all really enjoyed Surfside. Thank you RC for not putting an age restriction on that area. I had so much fun going down the two slides with my grand-daughters!
Entertainment

The whole family enjoyed the Ice Skating show (lighting displays are fantastic), Wizard of OZ and the Effectors show. The Aqua show was really disappointing and was much better on the Oasis ships. Parts of it were really boring and the seating in the Aqua theater was terrible. Numerous people stated that they couldn't understand why RC would go to that type of seating because it is VERY uncomfortable. You cannot pre-reserve seats for the "Once upon a Time" ice show but if you have children make sure you see it.

My grand kids have always enjoyed Adventure Ocean but they complained that it was way too crowded. I don't think they were turning anyone away and it was very congested. Kids everywhere! You could tell the counselors were very stressed having so many children

Had a fantastic brunch at Pier 7. Saw it on the cruise planner on sale for $9.99 for adults and all kids eat free. Austin was fantastic and kept the kids entertained between courses. Best banana split EVER!!! Manny was our cabin steward and he did an excellent job. Irwan and Jack in the dining room were outstanding!

Because of the price of Icon we decided to just get spacious interior rooms. We were not disappointed at all. The rooms are very big and the showers were wonderful.
Ship tip
Make sure you pre-reserve your shows in the cruise planner. We stayed on the ship at Coco Cay because we have been there numerous times. This ended up being a great idea because we were able to go on the slides at Thrill Island on the ship with hardly any waiting!!!!! Highly suggest doing this because it ended up being a PERFECT DAY!
Don't waste your money on an excursion. At the pier get a water taxi (only $7.00 pp for unlimited rides) and go to Great Bay Beach. Beach was fantastic and not crowded at all.
Having already been to Coco Cay numerous times we stayed on the ship and did the slides at Thrill Island all day! The longest we waited for any of the slides was ten minutes!! It was awesome, I highly suggest doing it this way.
Very easy. We walked off with our luggage and was out of the terminal in seven minutes. Warning ww waited over 45 minutes for an Uber because the cars were so backed up trying to pick people up at the terminal.
