Review summary

Overall it was a great trip! I would recommend to others looking for a quality cruise to amazing ports.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation on Royal Caribbean out of Galveston is probably the easiest process I’ve ever been through! Fast and efficient!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Specifically restaurants were amazing. The buffet was also very good. However, with My Time Dining, getting into the main dining room was literally impossible for us, even with reservations made through the app while onboard. I will never cruise with flexible main dining room options again, at least not on Royal Caribbean.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were busy, as you’d expect. Great options for a variety of interests.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were fantastic and our favorite part!

Children's Programs

I did not use children’s programs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was wonderful! They were all very positive, energetic, and happy to see you and help.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Design was good and we saw immediate reactions to keep the ship clean. We saw a child make a mess. Minutes later a crew member walked by and called it in. Within less than 5 minutes all was clean again.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room was great. Biggest compliant was that the mattress was incredibly firm. Uncomfortable, but manageable when exhausted from excursions and activities.

Ship tip

Make sure to reserve a time for dining and ask for/bring a mattress topper.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Starting/ending port. Easy access from where family lives.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
Absolutely loved Roatán. We visited Maya Key Private Island. It was wonderful!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
The port was really well built with unique entertainment. We didn’t attend our excursion since we were wiped out from the day before.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
The port was fairly basic with pushy shop owners. Great security pre-boarding made things easy. We visited Mr. Sanchos and had a great time.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was just as easy and embarkation. A quick and painless process.
