Review summary

Overall--a very successful cruise with my 3 sisters. Probably will be our last due to the one who has increasing dementia. So glad we took it and we did have some great times and laughter!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was smooth and didn't take more than 10 minutes!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We ate mainly in MDR and a little Windjammer and 2 x @ Solariaum for Breakfast. A little disappointed in choices and quality in MDR. Food was never hot--just lukewarm. But we enjoyed the experience.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did the shows and the 10 story slide on Harmony. They were all very good. Had excellent comediennes. The ISkate was mostly dancing---no costumes other than ice skating costumes. Nothing elaborate that I've seen on other ships. It was added so that may be why.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Did NOT enjoy the asian band. Had to leave when they started playing C&W as it was so bad! Couldn't stand to listen to them ruin good songs. AND did NOT enjoy all the line dancing. I enjoy linedancing but it was at all but one Promenade Party Dances and you couldn't just dance with everyone like we have in the past---without getting in line and doing what they told you. Took away the fun--I thought. Belerro's could just as well be canned music! I have seen really good latin bands and they had quality --just no interaction with crowd---very cold for a warm/hot music!

Children's Programs

We didn't have kids with us. There were way too many kids for a week in April (no Spring Break) so that was surprising. That was one reason we chose the timing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our MDR waiter took excellent care of us and had the utmost patience with one of my sisters that has dementia. Our cabin steward went above and beyond also!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything appeared to be clean and safe. However---the wait for the elevators got to be very tiring and way too often. Not sure all the elevators were working either.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Brought my own mattress topper (to leave) as learned from experience that theirs are not enough to keep my hip from hurting. The cabin was the smallest I've ever been in but we managed. Were seldom there other than to sleep or change or get ready.

Ship tip

Prepare to wait on the elevators! They are always full and don't think all of them work.

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Had a Shore Excursion for Zip Line (11 of them--that was surprising) and Beach. We really had fun on the zips and the beach was very beautiful and had plenty of chairs. Also had a nice swimming pool amongst the trees that was very peaceful. Neither were crowded at all.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

2 out of 5
They were much higher in costs than Cozumel for sure. Just walked around a little and went back to ship. Would probably not get off here again unless I had an excursion.

Cozumel, Mexico

We went to All-inclusive Mr. Sanchos and I was expecting a crowd as have seen lots of good reviews. We enjoyed it but it wasn't crowded at all. The food and drinks were good and we had 2 waiters that were right there when needed.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Don't understand how we can embark by walking straight into the ship but disembark by making us all go out on the deck and walk a long ways before getting to the tube walkway to get off. The weather was cold and windy and didn't think that was necessary. Once we got into the terminal--everything was smooth!
