Review summary

I've sailed Royal Caribbean multiple times in the past before the pandemic and honestly this company has gone down in quality probably due to the higher cost of everything. I recently just got off the Harmony of the Seas in November 2023 and here are the pros and cons fresh off my memory. Cons -Food in windjammer has GONE DOWN in quality. Its mostly cheap food that doesn't have much of a taste - similar to carnival. The only good food was the Indian food and even that runs out quickly. Butter chicken was fire, probably they best meal I had on the whole ship and it ran out quick. They also don't have steak for free anymore in the main dining hall, it all comes at a premium cost. Sure if you're stuck on a boat for a week you'll eat this food but if this was a restaurant on land I would never goto it - except for the butter chicken. If this is your first time on a cruise you have no standard to judge it by so you'll like it regardless. -The free coffee is seriously garbage. It has no caffeine and tastes disgusting They def want you to pay for the premium Starbucks drinks on board. -I wasn't too impressed with the ultimate abyss ride. -No chocolate chip cookies anymore on the ship! Seriously..why did you take those away. They were so good. Its like the purposely put basic food so people don't eat so much. -For eggs they used to use fresh eggs now they use some powder to make the eggs. Not very nutritious... -Disembarkation process is a mess. You would think they figured this out by now. Getting 6,000 passenger off a ship within a 2 hour window is insane... -Activities get cancelled alot due to choppy weather -Columbus show was a bit insensitive to the native American people. Like this guy literally massacred thousands of natives in the carribean and is pretty much a terrorist yet he gets praised like a hero in this musical. The show was pretty much mostly empty seats so I think this show will eventually get cancelled. The cruise director Cory also said this is "favorite show" but he's honestly trying to just get more people to go watch the show. -Gym on Liberty of the Seas is way better then this one. This one doesn't really have nice views and only has a few equipment, They also don't have a free Steam Room and Sauna like other ships do. -Gratuities are now $18pp/day. So expect to give $126 for a 7 day cruise in gratuities per person. I wish RC payed them more instead of us making us pay them. They are very hard working people though. Pros -I liked the diversity of passengers on the ship. People from all walks of life. Houston/Texas is an area with lots of diversity now so I'm sure thats a big reason for the diversity. -Staff of 2000 crew works really hard for the passengers on board. 700 are Indian, many are Filipino and Indonesian. All hard working people. -I loved the Fine Line Aqua show. Seriously one of the most unique shows I've ever seen. It did get cancelled alot during our cruise due to choppy weather. The ice show was pretty cool too with a projector being used on an ice skating ring. -I liked the variety of desserts. Its pretty much sugar that gives you that dopamine kick.
