Review summary

Overall great time! Huge ship with lots to do! Definately a cruise ship for families!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Everything was quick and easy. We were a group of six sailing and the shore crew helped us get through embarkation together.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had late seating in the Deck 4 MDR. We were able to find something to eat every night. The menu has changed and some of the dishes weren't as good as they could be but no one went hungry! We ate at Sabor one night. Food was very good. The guacamole could use a little bit more spice but it had good flavor. The beef burrito and chicken quesadilla were very tasty.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Didn't do any of these but it looked like everyone was having a great time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We missed out on a couple of the major shows due to weather (high seas). The ice show was excellent, the water show was awesome and the headliner shows were fun!

Children's Programs

No kids with us this trip.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the crew was fun and friendly! Especially loved the "washy washy" staff in the morinings at the Windjammer. Loved the interaction with the MDR staff every night. It's great to have the same servers!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It's so big and we didn't get to do everything we wanted. Everything was clean and someone was always cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Plenty of room for two people. Two closets, lots of drawers! Balcony was good size. We had two chairs with ottomans and side rable. Enjoyed room service breakfast on one the sea days. Cabin steward, Raymond, was fun and took great care of us!

Ship tip

Harmony is a huge ship! You will not get to do everything. Lots of fun especially for families with kids. Lots of dining options. The Sorrentos Pizza isn't the best but it was crowded every day and the teens were always there. Just remember this is a "city" floating on water and there are bound to have things go wrong. If you go looking of course you will find fault, go onboard expecting to have fun! It's all around you!

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown/Port of Miami. Hotel is dated but it was clean and close to restaurants and shopping.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Took the water taxi to town. We hadn't been there for awhile so it was fun walk around and visit our favorite places. Enjoy some cold drinks and local food. Nu Love is excellent.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
We don't do excursions, opting insstead to visit with the locals in their little boutques. We were not disappointed as we discovered a new shop, Fish Face. Lots of local art and the ladies were so friendly!

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

2 out of 5
Because of physical limitations we only walked around and enjoyed the beach BBQ. The low star ranking is because although RCCL has this beautiful private island, it was too crowded. Unless you went out to beach areas first thing in the morning you were not going to get a lounger and umbrella. There were two of RCCL's big ships in port (Harmony and Independence). Way too many people in our opinion.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and easy. Used RCCL transfers, easy to find, loaded and off to Miami airport with no issues. We were off the ship at 830A and at the airport by 930a.
