This a a very enjoyable cruise especially if you’ve not been to the Southern Caribbean islands.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Smooth process except for lack of staffing during security made that process take longer than expected. Additionally, staff had rude TSA energy that did not make a good 1st impression.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Had pleasure of having an exceptional waitress in the main dining room during our cruise that made evening dinner wonderful.
Windjammer buffet was always crowded and stressful in terms of finding a seat. Tried to avoid this eating venue as much as possible as it was not worth the lower quality food we were served compared to the main dining room.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
As this ship is designed for multi-generational family traveling. There was plenty of variety for all tastes
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows were vey entertaining if you could get a ticket.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
For such a large ship with so many passengers, I was completely disappointed that Harmony still used a cruse card system. This made service slow at times as well as stressful tracking down the server who had your physical card for as much as 30 minutes at times.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This is a very large ship, but with the app, and ample signage it was easy to get around. More importantly, the staff kept it very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was vey spacious and our steward was exceptional/
Ship tip
Pack your patience when aboard the Harmony of the Seas if you are not used to the Mega cruise ship experience.
The disembarkation from the ship itself was relatively smooth, however the transport to the Miami airport was chaotic and hectic. They had only a single person (the driver) loading the luggage onto the bus. My Wife and I almost had our carry on luggage left behind had she not physically got off them bus to check and inform the driver that our baggage needed to be loaded onto the bus.
