Ship tip
Book your shows and shore excursions ahead of time. Purchase drink and internet packages on sale before your cruise. Zoom internet worked better than we thought.
It was raining and storming during our day at CocoCay. We were grateful to have docked, as the Carnival ship near us did not dock at their private island. We did the water park for an hour and swam in the beautiful Caribbean Ocean as we were rained on (so memorable!). Our kayaking and snorkeling excursions were canceled due to inclement weather. RC refunded us for the water park tickets and canceled excursions (thank you!). CocoCay is beautiful and the food was great!
We did a “Shop, See and Splash” excursion through Viator with Godfrey Tours. There were 20 in our group and we saw all the popular sites, learned the history of the island, and spent 2 hours at Magen’s Bay Beach. Highly recommend this reasonably priced tour.
We also did a reasonably priced island overview tour here with Presidential Tours through Viator. A great way to see both the Dutch and French sides of the island with time at Orient and Maho Beaches. We enjoyed St. Maarten and the locals there a bit more than St. Thomas.
