Review summary

I was disappointed overall. You had to be too aggressive with planning ahead to take full advantage of the trip. I would have liked a little more personal attention. I think the boat was just too near capacity and that really made it less pleasant.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Getting on the ship went relatively smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food at the Windjammer was not that good. There were long lines to get in and then it was hard to find a place to sit. After a bad experience there, we ended up not going back and just eating at the main dining room and Solarium. We also made reservations at the Sushi restaurant to get Sushi and they did not offer Sushi and only had the Hibachi tables running at the time we went.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I was so crowded it was difficult to find seating at the pool and the pools were all packed with people. My mother and son enjoyed the zip line and we enjoyed the Abyss slide.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The Aqua show and Ice Skating were good, however we had to wait in stand by lines to get in. The app said the shows were sold out and there was plenty of seating. We were unable to get into the comedy shows that we would have liked to see.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our dinning room wait staff was good, waiters around pool were good, room steward did not take away our half empty drink glasses and did not clean the mirrors.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship itself is beautiful. There was a long wait for the elevators most of the time.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was mostly clean and comfortable

Ship tip

Do not get anytime dining and plan what you want to do way ahead of time, otherwise you will spend most of your time waiting in lines.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

4 out of 5

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
Just went into the shops at the port because most excursions were sold out or too expensive. It was lack luster.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
We waited for over 40 minutes to catch the boat ferry back to the port. We again didn't do any excursions because they were sold out or too expensive.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Getting off the boat was easy and did not take long

Got to make your reservations for shows right away on oasis class ships or it’ll be a struggle. Windjammer is always packed on them too. Just need to know it’s a part of the deal. My time works if you’re only a couple so they can sneak you into a small table. If you’re more people than that you’re gonna wait. Otherwise pick a seating time

It's high season and the ship is working in full capacity now, after 2 years of the Covid crisis. I think if you want to enjoy the next trip with less stress...take it off season, when all the kids are back to school.

Wonder if they should be cruising? But then again, I do not sail on “reservations required” ships.
