Review summary
This was my first Royal Caribbean cruise, and I loved it. I like the fact that it was one of their mega ships (oasis class) and had plenty of activities to keep me busy. Helped me feel like my vacation was more than just resting and sitting around doing nothing.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Chops Grille
Worth 5 stars, but not sure I'd visit it again - there was so much good food on the ship that the luxury of a prime steak was somewhat muted.
Boardwalk Dog House
I tried a couple different dogs. They weren't anything special, but a viable food option if you were in the area and getting a little hungry.
Park Cafe
Incredible roast beef sandwiches, and a quiet spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Wasn't ever too crowded.
Mini Bites
There's so much food on the cruise ship that you start craving a more traditional meal. This burger joint feels like an normal american diner and helps satisfy those cravings.
150 Central Park
Incredible roast beef sandwiches, and a quiet spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Wasn't ever too crowded.
Bionic Bar
It's cool to see but the entertainment wears off fast. Watching a video online is just as good as seeing the robotic drink maker in action.
Room Service
Don't be afraid to try multiple entrees. I'm usually reluctant to order new foods, because I rarely have a backup meal ready. On a cruise ship, order whatever you want. If you dont like it, move onto something else.
Sorrentos
Good quick pizza.
Onboard Activities
Zipline
Fun experience. Make sure you take closed toed shoes that tie.
Entertainment
Center Ice Rink
Saw some fun shows in here, but didn't participate in the free skate.
Central Park
Peaceful area! It was always fun to stroll through Central Park. It never got too crowded and was so immersive that you could easily forget you were on a giant ship.
Aquatheater
Impressive and entertaining shows.
Card Room
Nice and quiet sanctuary ship.
