We found RCCL to be the best cruise line that we have been on so far. We really enjoyed this cruise. For the most part the staff was outstanding. We opted for the Key well worth the money. Just the internet speed alone as worth the price. With the Key you get a private lunch upon arrival then a private breakfast upon leaving which were outstanding. A great feature of the Key is that you can drop off any of your luggage that you bring on board, they bring it to your room for you so you dont have to carry it around...
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Being a frequent cruiser we have spent numerous hours waiting to board the ship. Upon our arrival, we gave our luggage went into the terminal, within 5 minutes we were on the ship...RCCL really has an advantage by doing everything before hand so embarkation is a seamless experience.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was solid. Not the best I have had however I enjoyed most of what I ate. I found that the buffet was set up better than most, however if you did not venture around you would not have seen other items around the corner. I have to say the I have had some of the best desserts that I have had on a ship the chocolate cake in the main dining room was outstanding. We really dont drink alcohol, however we had the soda package that I thought was excellent.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We loved the adults only pool, despite it being crowded. Having a place where there are not screaming kids was refreshing. There are so many things to do on the ship like zip line, rock climbing and the like, there really is something for everyone. We opted to do a tour of the kitchen operations, we had a backstage tour of the inner workings of the kitchen lead by one of the Maitre D's, it was quite interesting to see how many people work in the kitchen, when it was over we had a champagne lunch that was very good.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
They had a group called Mo5aic on board. They are an acapella group that was outstanding. Their voices meshed with great harmony. Excellent show. We saw Grease musical which was good. The water show we left we did not like it at all. Bingo was expensive for the amount of cards that you received.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room steward Collin was outstanding he could not do enough for us. I found the some of the main dining room wait staff to be outstanding some were just OK as we had a few different tables. I found that the majority of the wait staff on the ship were truly happy to be there, great smiles, going out of the way to get items for you, this was more evident in the buffet.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
A stunning ship, with many great spaces to check out. Loved the central park section. The ship was extremely clean. The ship is so big that we could not see it all.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We had a boardwalk balcony. The room seemed larger for some reason. Lots of storage space. The drawback to these balcony rooms is that its noisy at night as there are things still going. The bed was OK the mattress was too hard for me, however this seems to be the standard on all ships.
Ship tip
We opted to purchase the Key. we found it to be worth the money
This was our departure port, not a fan of this as a port of call, as there is really nothing to do here, unless you have enough time to get to one of the parks in Orlando.
A great day with perfect weather, we loved the various options beach, pools, kids area. What sets this apart from other cruise lines islands is that food is included.
