Embarkation

No problems and very little waiting

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We are at the main dining room for dinner and was a great experience. We ate breakfast at the cafe and windjammer buffet and they were both great experiences. Lunch at chops steak house was great and the wonderland dinner experience was amazing.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pool atmosphere was really nice. I would have preferred the smoking section to be on the upper deck or totally enclosed. The smoke seemed to funnel along the entire side of that part of the boat including the bar.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Comedy show was hilarious as was the scavenger hunt(forgot the real name)

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our Room Steward, Raj, and the others in our hallway always greeted us. Raj would ask how our excursions were. Always a clean room. Wait staff was on top of their job. Some of the bars seemed disorganized so the staff could not be very efficient.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was beautiful. The only change would be that the smoking area on the pool deck be enclosed. I loved the Central Park, boardwalk and the aqua theater area that was spacious.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was laid out very well. It had a sofa, nice size bed and bathroom was laid out well. The shower was a bit small for my 6’4” frame but still able to take a shower comfortably.

Ship tip

My wife bought the magnet hooks and that was a life saver to hang hats, key cards, sunglasses and other thigs on. I used the bonine seals on pills the first two days and still felt woosey so I stopped and felt better the rest of the trip.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Start and end of the trip only.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Did the airplane beach excursion. It was pretty cool to see the planes close over head but the beach was very crowded with multiple ships there at one time. Should have done a walk around tour.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
We had a beach party with the group of 2500+ so that was pretty crowded there. It was still nice. D

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Great stop. They own the area so the beverage package worked while at that port. Did the jet ski and parasailing and those were awesome. The only bad part was the locals gift shops. They had a gift shop on the part of the port that Royal owned and they had good prices but when you went to the area run by the locals it was high pressure sales. We still bought stuff but I don’t like high pressure sales.

Disembarkation

There was no problems. Quick and seamless. We ate breakfast at the Central Park Cafe and waited. It would have been nice if it was open a little longer. I could have used another cup of coffee.
