Review summary

Overall it was a nice break from reality, The ship was too big for me but we made the best of the time together as we could. I will try Royal Caribbean again but I do not believe I will sail on a big ship. Its just not personal enough

Embarkation

4 out of 5
The embarkation was ok. We had no problems getting onto the ship but everyone crowded into the Windjammer Cafe at the same time because it was the only place open to eat before we sailed. It was very crowded.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The breakfast buffet in the morning was virtually the same breakfast every morning, eating the same things every day even though there were other places to eat on the ship it was easiest to get there where our cabin was . The one thing that I was disappointed in is that when the breakfast places closed there were no places to eat on the ship that were open all the time except for one place offering the same food all the time . On other cruises there was always someplace open to eat all the time .. The bars ran out of liquor all the time . You would ask for a drink and they would say they were out of that specific liquor . Also I felt that the beverage package was a little high for a 7 day cruise The My time eating schedule is a joke. We went in a lot early only to find out that you couldn't get into the main dining area for 1 to 2 hours. If you tried to make reservations for dinner you were looking at late night .

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The Abyss was a nice touch but it was a little rough, The slide pools were okay but if not careful you can hurt your shoulders. There was only one adult pool and it was closed for 3 of the 7 days. I also felt that they were extremely small pools for the vastness of the ship. It was very hard to find a seat because people were hoarding the loungers all day . It was very hard to get into the loungers also if you found one because they had them packed into each other like sardines

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was okay but you always had to make reservations all the time I went on vacation not tot make reservations but just to go and watch if I wanted to

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
I felt since the ship was so big the staff was not as personal as being on smaller ships. There were a few staff members who were pleasant but I did not find many of the staff helpful

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was clean but there were not a lot of tables to sit on the outside of the ship . I felt that the chairs they had on the ship were very uncomfortable especially for smokers

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
There were 4 of us in this cabin and I was very disappointed by the way the couch pulled out and there was no room to walk to the balcony or to the restroom . These cabins are too small for 4 people the way they are set up

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

3 out of 5
We did a everglade air boat ride when we returned . It was a very nice excursion

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
The island was very nice and the beach was very blue

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
This port was ok

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

2 out of 5
I felt the locals that were there selling their wears were extremely pushy!!! There were not a lot of souvenir's to buy

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We had no problems disembarking
