Food and Dining

Coastal Kitchen was perfect. Dinner took the right amount of time. The atmosphere was great and welcoming to our 2 year old. The staff went above and beyond to cater any need we had. Wonderland was an amazing experience. Our waitress Lauren was wonderful and really gave us a delightful experience. It took a little longer than we thought. Chops had great food. Our waitress was welcoming and helpful. Dinner took too long though. We were there for an hour and a half before we were presented with a dessert menu. So we had to pass and just asked for the check. Maybe it was because we were sitting outside and it was further from the kitchen, or maybe she saw us talking to the couple sitting next to us and didn't want to bother us, but it was a bit of a bummer to not get to the part of the meal. The waitress came by and greeted us, gave us our menus and water, but we waited for about 10 minutes before she came back to get our order.

Onboard Activities

We did the pools, fitness center, rock climbing, water slides, wave rider, and carousel. That was so much fun and we really enjoyed it. The only issue we had was on the last day we saw the Abyss Slide was closing at 6. So we hurried up there at about 5:47 and a little girl (maybe 7) was holding a sign and told us she was the last one in the line. I completely understand having a spot in the line to make sure that the line doesn't continue, but it is misleading with the cruise compass says 6. If it says 6...you should be able to get there at 6 and ride. Anyone after 6 can't stand in line anymore. Also, I do not think it was okay to give the sign to a little girl to tell people the line was closed. It would have been more appropriate for that to be an employee of the sports area. I understand that the slide will stay open past 6 pm if the cut off time is 6. A suggestion would be to change the cruise compass to say 5:45 pm. I know I was not the only person discouraged by this. I also realized I was more calm about this than some other passengers. I'm not sure how to fix this, but it might be good to look into it.

Entertainment

Shows were great. WOW WOW WOW to both Auqa Shows. Absolutely STUNNING! The DJ in the night club was really good. The piano player in the elevator was pretty awesome too. A lot of fun.

Children's Programs

My daughter had a great time there. She's 2 and was there one night for an hour. I thought it was sweet they provided her with a coloring book from her favorite movie. My daughter was 28 months, but she is potty trained and pretty advanced for her age. At her daycare, she is with 3 year olds. I was hoping to get her in the 3 year old room because she would have more fun but the infant room said she was too young. I understand the rules, but I also felt like it could have been appropriate to meet my daughter first and see. She can tell you all of her wants and needs. I knew going into this cruise to be in the 3 year old room, the child needed to be potty trained, so I made sure she was. It wasn't about the cost as much as my hopes my daughter would have fun. She's so much bigger than children around the age of 1. The staff even told me how impressed they were with her and how smart she was and able to do so much. I know rules are rules, and that's why I was and am okay with her in that room, but I'm hoping when we take her on the Allure in May, even though she'll only be 32 months, she will be able to be with the 3 year olds.

Service and Staff

Staff was impressive. Dane in the Coastal Kitchen was spectacular. Our Room Stewards went above and beyond for us. The concierge was very helpful and so friendly to my family. Great staff.

Ship Quality

I felt like it was easy to navigate the ship. The ship was clean. I was also very impressed with the public bathroom on the Suite Sun Deck that provided baby wipes and disinfectant wipes.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was very clean, the size was perfect, it accommodated the 4 of us so well. We never felt on top of each other and the two bathrooms were very helpful.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Couldn't do an excursion because of our flight times, but loved how close it was to the airport.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

No excursion but went to the Suite section of the beach. The staff was very welcoming and the buffet was great. Everyone was very helpful.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We went to Dunn Rivers Fall and Bamboo Beach Club VIP. Dunn Rivers Fall was beautiful and a great experience. Our tour guide Zena was wonderful. Bamboo Beach was okay. We didn't really see any VIP treatment other than being served the meal and drinks but the drinks were awful. The food was good, but some of it was not. I didn't like that we couldn't see where the food was being made. It took a while to get served as well. We would have enjoyed a longer stay at the beach as well. The Falls took longer than expected.

Cozumel, Mexico

No excursion but the port area was fun with good restaurants. We took a taxi to Paradise Beach and had a great time.

Disembarkation

We ended up not leaving with the suite guests but still had an easy disembarkation.
