Review summary

While Royal Caribbean has done a great job with Harmony of the seas there are areas they have cut back on - entertainment and activities. It's hard to imagine being onboard ship sailing for two straight days with not enough activities during the day or entertainment during the evening.

To me doing Nothing is maybe the best part of cruising. Next November I’ll be on the Harmony if it’s anything like the Oasis it’s got to be good. From what I see that they have added 3 water slides a dry slide larger solarium a better broadway show in grease vs Cats this ship to me like Oasis left me with not hitting it all too short of a cruise with so much to offer!!

I will agree a lot of sales talk for shopping in ports, I did enjoy the art auction didn’t buy anything but free champagne while taking in some cool looking art is fun. Loved the night life and again I’m a swimmer so I was in the pool doing laps before the floaters got in.. Loved just walking the ship, heading on another cruise next fall 2019 and planing our 2021 already so we can book it on the boat..

I found the Oasis class ships to be very active it depends on what you want to do. If your into drinking games go on carnival ships Royal tend to lean towards active and not do active clients.. To me cruising is about taking it all in enjoying doing nothing is just as fun as going non stop all the time..

The free seminars are all sales pitches

***there is the pool

Cruise Compass before 6pm is almost all sales pitches. Not a matter of opinion. They are all online. Again, yes, where is the pool, there is basketball, there is surfing, for those who want to do that. But as far as general programming during the day it's very very limited if you read The Cruise Compass. It's almost entirely things designed to sell services to the passengers

There is always lots to do if you want. Read the cruise compases. You will see every hours something happening. From sorts to games to free seminars.

People seem to get a little miffed if anyone comments on the lack of activities on Oasis class. Yes, during the day there is basketball in time by the pool and the surf experience etc. But if one wants to do something else there is not much to do during the day if we're being honest. Just pull up any Cruise Compass for any of the Oasis class ships and all that happens before 6 p.m. are pretty much things geared towards selling you something. Detox sales. weight loss plan sales, foot analysis, bingo. There is an occasional movie if the movie interests you. but program wise daytime on Oasis class is pretty light especially if you have two or three consecutive sea days
