Review summary

Overall a good cruise. But, the ship is just to big. The overall layout doesn't lend itself to ocean views. I go on cruises because I like being on a ship at sea. I like feeling like I'm on a ship. Central Park, the Promenade, and the Boardwalk all focus your attention inward rather than looking outward towards the ocean. Most of the dining venues have no ocean view. Most of the other areas of the ship that have an ocean view, it is obstructed by window frames or canopies. The jogging track on deck 5 is almost completely obstructed, mostly by life boats. Now, to be fair please look at my ratings. The interior decorating was super and the food was very good, as was the service. The " Chef's Table" dining experience was over the top excellent and well worth the money. All the staff were wonderful. A word of caution regarding the buffet for breakfast or lunch. The food was good. But, way to crowded. I would recommend dining room for breakfast as you can order off the menu or they have a small buffet which is not crowded and better quality. I have been on over a dozen cruises and the entertainment was excellent. Again, overall a good cruise. But, prefer ships a bit smaller.

Quite a few of the bars on board have slow service. Others are fast. It's really random. And the drink quality is inconsistent.

Thanks for the review. Going on the Harmony in December and really looking forward to it

I appreciate your point of view. For me the top deck was nothing but pure unobstructed ocean views! As well as the Solarium for adults only! Ocean views are available at these places 24/7

Great review, I love the big boats but miss the water views at dinner. We always have a balcony. That helps. 👍👍⛴⛴⛴⛴

Ive been on a lot of ships, and found the Oasis class have amazing amounts of ocean views!?! Winjammer buffet has beautiful ocean views, Solarium Bistro buffet has beautiful ocean views, sports cafe on deck 15 aft has great views... in fact the Oasis class have more open deck space than any ship out there... outside of an aircraft carrier! Lol Sounds like you spent more time in the MDR or specialty dining venues, or on the promenade and cassino... lol

I'm going on Harmony this Saturday. I've heard more than one person say the same thing. It doesn't feel like you're at sea. I love to look out at sea and look out towards the islands. This will be my first mega ship. I think I will enjoy it, but I'm hoping this helps me to see which size ship I prefer. Great review.
