Review summary

I really enjoyed the Harmony of the Seas. It is extremely large, so have lots of patience if you need to get to the other end of the ship. There are many places you can find where it feels like there aren't many people. Would recommend this ship!

Everything went smoothly. Got on the ship super fast and went to the Schooner bar for a quick drink while we waited for our cabin!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

I highly recommend the Mini Bites restaurant for breakfast. My husband loves omelettes and this is one of the few places to get one. I think the main dining room and Johnny Rocket's also have omelettes. We enjoyed the smaller amount of people and casual atmosphere of Mini Bites for breakfast. If you wait too long it will get busy. We ate around 9am. We also ate dinner at Chops (fantastic) and Sabor, the Mexican Restaurant. This place was good, but could have skipped it. It started getting hot sitting in an open air restaurant eating Mexican food. We ate in the main dining room about 3 times and it was excellent. Our waiter was amazing. He was constantly bringing us food. We had a group of 10 people. He brought extras of nearly everything.

Onboard Activities

We did lots of trivia, which our group always enjoys. We also did most of the game shows at On Air. Loved them. We also did the breakout room. It was fun but way too hard! We made it with 2 minutes to spare. He said only 19% actually make it.

Service and Staff

One of our favorite people was Olga at the Schooner bar. It was so nice getting to know her at the very beginning of the cruise before most people boarded. She was so wonderful every time we came back for trivia. Frank in the Solarium was an amazing waiter. He was there any time we needed anything.

Ship Quality

The layout of the ship was good, yet it was a little too big. Everything was extremely clean and well-maintained.

Ship tip

Try to book a cabin in the middle of the ship. It is so big. I recommend deck 8 because we were in the middle and Central Park was nice and quiet.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

We did the Nassau Land and Sea Excursion. The sea part of the excursion was fantastic. They were a lot of fun and gave us a great deal of good information. We were running late so the land part was very rushed. We had 20 minutes to stop and shop with the locals. The road was so narrow, the shops were set up along the road and there was no room because all of the vans were super close to the shops. There was very little walking room. We then went to Atlantis and were dropped off by the lobby. We were given another 30 minutes. We spent half the time trying to locate bathrooms. Never had time to explore. I think this excursion should skipped the land part...........we would have enjoyed shopping back at the port, which we had no time to do since we were leaving so early. The port at Nassau requires a lot of walking from the ship.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We didn't get to spend too much time in St. Thomas. We took an excursion to St. Johns. We went snorkeling at Trunk Bay. This was fantastic. The tour was well organized and the time at Trunk Bay was great. The beach is super clean and the water was crystal clear. Love it!! The reef was damaged by the storms last year and isn't as pretty as it used to be. I wouldn't let this stop you from going on this excursion. On the way back the tour stopped at several places for photo opportunities.

We headed to Nevis on a catamaran for an afternoon on the beach with lunch provided. LOVED IT!! The guys on the catamaran were very entertaining and they constantly asked you if you needed anything to drink. It was so much fun!!
