Review summary

I would definitely recommend this ship. It was my first cruise and I did enjoy this vacation. Staff were awesome. Photographers were fun. Spa was high pressure and expensive. I'd probably do a massage and that's it.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We used the Royal Transfer to the port. Getting on the ship was a breeze. Maybe 1/2 hour tops.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Many options to choose from. Main dining room was one of my favorites. Chops had amazing Filet Mignon. Solarium was another favorite. I wasn't crazy about the Park Cafe.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The shows were good. We were either too tired or didn't do any of the pools, rock climbing or fitness centers.

Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center

The venue was nice. The ladies that gave us a massage were also really nice. They were kind of high pressure sales. I would do this again but besure to do it on the first day. I didn't like that I got sick and was offered to reschedule with out being told I would be refunded for my pre cruise payment and charged full price at the time of my rescheduled massage. This costed me upwards of $80 more. Also, they talked me into getting a Karatin treatment on top of my prepay appointment. They took off the $40 from the online sale but forgot to take off that gratuity. So I paid double gratuity. I'd stick to what and when you paid if you pre paid!

Promenade Shops

2 out of 5

The shops on the ship were very expensive. If you are looking for jewelry shop at the port. Sales aren't even that great. Staff wasn't that knowledgeable at the Regalia Jewelry store. A watch you might be ok buying on the ship. Not sure. The Levian earrings and necklace special they had for $80 wasn't even gold. It was Silver and gold filled. They didn't mention that.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great Shows and entertainment.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff were very nice and polite. Excited demeanors. Service was great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Nice layout and only crowded at certain times. Plenty of room on a packed ship. Extremely clean at all times. Only the ladies room was kind of a mess on debarkation.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Clean and comfortable! A bit small. My husband and I danced around eachother a lot. Plenty of Hangers and closet space.

Ship tip

Pack you patience and use the stairs when possible. Don't waist you money on a WOW band unless you are in the water a lot.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Didn't do an excursion. Don't have an opinion.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Be sure to do all your shopping here!! It's beautiful. I felt that the beach and the areas here were kind of run down even before Irma and Maria hit. Trash on the beach. Take the water taxi downtown.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Great excursion to the Forts. Alexis was informative. Took a lot longer than I expected. Definitely want to shop on Old San Juan. It was a beautiful Port and area.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Stay away from the shops of "Locals". Too pushy. Didn't enjoy that at all. I also thought the buffet was too crowded. I needed more time to explore the area. Just a beach day. DO the zipline!!

Disembarkation

Overall, the disembarkation went pretty smooth. They let you off by a number. We did the luggage Valet and that was worth the money. It was crowded and a little jammed but not awful.
